The sixth edition of the Rail Squash League, organized by the Qatar Squash Federation under the sponsorship of Qatar Rail, concluded its matches at the Khalifa International Complex.
The team from Lusail, comprising players Salem Al-Malki, Mohammed Al-Khalaf, Youssef Al-Malki, Khalifa Al-Malki, Ibrahim Al-Naama, Hamad Al-Riyahi, and Mohammed Jassem Al-Khawari, clinched the first position.
Meanwhile, the team from Mesaieed secured the second position, with the third position going to the team from Al Sadd.
The awards ceremony was presided over by Mr. Tariq Zainal, the General Secretary of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Badminton, and Table Tennis Federation, Mr. Saad Al-Muhannadi, the Executive Director of the Federation and the Squash League Director, and Mr. Abdullah Ali Al-Mawlawi, the Director of Communications and Public Relations at Qatar Rail, in the presence of squash enthusiasts.
On this occasion, Tariq Zainal stated, “We are very proud to share the success achieved by the league in its sixth edition with our partners at Qatar Rail. This collaboration reflects our joint efforts to develop squash in Qatar, increase its popularity, and support Qatari players.”
He added, “Qatar Rail’s sponsorship of this league demonstrates the social responsibility of this national company in supporting sports in Qatar in general, and squash in particular, contributing positively to the advancement of the local community and participating in building a better future for the next generations.”
The Rail Squash League kicked off on January 10th with the participation of six teams: Lusail, Mesaieed, Al Sadd, Al Waab, Al Wakrah, and Al Rayyan.
