Qatar’s Khalid Al Hamadi claimed the title of men’s event at Khalifa Squash Open 3 concluded at the Khalifa Tennis and Squash Complex yesterday.
In the final match, Al Hamadi defeated Ali Ouda 3-0 to take the first place.
Tareq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) crowned the winners.
Talal Al Badr hoisted the trophy of boys under 13 years after beating his compatriot Hamad Al Khalaf in the final match.
Hassan Sameer won boys under 11 years event while Qatar’s Abdullah Al Sharshani finished second.
In boys under 15 years event, Ali Ouda took the first place ahead of Marawan Hussain the second place.
Khalid Al Hamadi claimed the title of boys under 17 years event after his victory over Abdullah Khalifa in the final match.
The QTSBF Executive Director Saad Al Mohannadi congratulated the winners and lauded the technical level of the tournament.
“We are proud of the huge success of the tournament in its third edition” he said.
Al Mohannadi also stressed that the local tournaments help develop squash in Qatar and promote this sport among new segments of our community.
