No upsets to report today as all the seeded players - five of them Egyptian - won through in contrasting styles ...

Eight more Round Two matches today as the bottom half of the draw moved to the last sixteen stage.

No upsets to report today as all the seeded players – five of them Egyptian – won through in contrasting styles.  Paul Coll, Omar Mosaad, Saurav Ghosal and Miguel Rodriguez all won in comfortable straight games, as did Mohamed ElShorbagy, but in the top seeds case he was behind in all three games against Adrian Waller who will feel unlucky not to win at least one of them.

Marwan ElShorbagy won through after being 0-8 down in the first, Zahed Salem quelled Mostafa Asal in four games and Mohamed Abouelghar held off Leo Au’s comeback from two-nil down by the skin of his teeth.
