Team Qatar star Abdulla Al Tamimi’s victory at the recent QSF 4 event on home soil in Qatar saw him reach a new career high on the Professional Squash Association’s (PSA) world rankings.
Al Tamimi, who beat Egypt’s former World Champion Tarek Momen to clinch the title, moved up nine places to number 16 in the world on the latest rankings.
The Qatari star also claimed the bronze medal of Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games concluded recently.
His previous highest ranking was 17 in the world in March this year, before injury saw him ruled out of action for several months.
Speaking on this occasion, Al Tamimi said that he is so happy to reach this new career high and stressed that he is looking forward for more achievements.
“Heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this historic achievement for me and the state of Qatar.” He added.
