Qatar’s Abdulla Al Tamimi qualified to men’s singles semifinals at the Asian Games 2023 squash competitions in Hangzhou, China on Tuesday.
Al Tamim secured his spot in the semifinals after beating Malaysia’s Addeen Idrakie 3-0 to take on the other the other Malaysian player Eain Yow Ng of Malaysia, who recovered from a difficult start to beat 2014 winner Abdullah Almezayen of Kuwait.
After the match, Al Tamimi said that he will do whatever does it take on qualify to the finals and secure a new medal for team Qatar in the Asian Games.
