The Khalifa Squash Open 4, organized by the Qatar Squash Federation, was concluded at the Khalifa Tennis and Squash Complex yesterday.
The Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) Secretary General Tareq Zainal crowned the winners of the tournament that featured the participation of 80 players.
Yousef Essam claimed the title of professional men’s event after beating Qatar’s Yousef Al Kebaisi in the final mach.
For his part, Zeyad Raheem defeated Haytham Joda to hoist the trophy of men’s event (level 1).
Qatar’s Khalid Al Hamadi claimed the title of boys under 17 years event while Abdullah Khalifa took the second place.
In boys under 15 years event, Marawan Hussain took the first place while Mohamed Al Khalaf finished second.
Adiv Gole won boys under 13 years event after beating Talal Al Badr in the final match.
Hassan Sameer won boys under 11 years event while Qatar’s Abdullah Al Sharshani finished second.
The QTSBF Secretary General Tareq Zainal congratulated the winners and wished them all the best in the upcoming events.
Zainal lauded the technical level of tournament and stressed that the local tournaments help develop squash in Qatar and promote this sport among new segments of our community.
