The 2nd Khalifa Squash Complex Open tournament will kick off today at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, and is set to conclude on April 6.
The tournament will feature different age groups age: including girls U-15 and boys under 11, 13, 15, 17, and 19 years old, in addition to the men’s and the women’s categories.
The Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) Executive Director and the Tournament’s Director Saad Al Mohannadi said in a statement that this local tournament is of great importance, because it provides the opportunity for national teams’ players to interact with players of different squash schools, as well as it contributes to increasing the popularity and skill development of the game and its players.
Al Mohannadi added that this tournament is being held during the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of maintaining the players’ technical and physical levels and promoting a healthy lifestyle throughout the year.
The QTSBF Executive Director stressed the Federation’s keenness to facilitate national teams players’ participation in the largest number of tournaments, whether local or international.
