The Doha Asian Junior Squash Open, hosted by the Qatar Squash Federation, concluded successfully at the Khalifa International Complex over three days, with the participation of more than 150 players.
In the Boys Under-17 category, Saudi player Mohammed Al-Nafsan claimed first place, while Egyptian player Yehia El Abyad secured second place.
In the Boys Under-15 category, Pakistani player Mohammed Rayan Bhadoo emerged victorious, with Singaporean player Shiv Koul taking second place.
For the Boys Under-13 category, Pakistani player Mohammed Khan clinched first place, followed by Chinese player Yuan Shi Liu in second place.
In the Boys Under-11 competition, Malaysian player Iman Dilan Saadan took the top spot, with Pakistani player Mohammed Zaman finishing as runner-up.
The awards ceremony for the winners was overseen by Mr. Tariq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel, and Badminton Federation, along with Saad Al-Mohannadi, Executive Director of the Federation and Tournament Director, in the presence of squash enthusiasts.
On the sidelines of the closing ceremony, Mr. Saad Al-Mohannadi, Tournament Director, congratulated all the winners and emphasized the importance of the event in enhancing the level of junior players not only in Qatar but also across Asia.
Al-Mohannadi highlighted that the Federation has prepared a series of local and international tournaments targeting various age groups. The primary goal is to support Qatari players, develop all aspects of the game, and promote the sport of squash on a broader scale.
